Commercial Services > Fire Safety > Fire safety engineering

Many buildings achieve the minimum required levels of fire safety provision by following tried and tested guidance such as that contained in Approved Document B to the England and Wales Building Regulations (Technical Standard D & E in Scotland). But sometimes designers need to achieve an appropriate level of safety using alternative approaches. Alternatively, the end-user wants to achieve a higher level of protection, but in a cost-efficient manner.

This is possible providing the designs are carefully developed and the fire safety provision proven.

At Chiltern Fire (TRADA Technology's sister company) we apply state-of-the-art scientific and design principles to achieve target objectives. This is achieved by providing value engineered protection of life, property and the environment from fire, while at the same time working within the client's overall project strategy.

Chiltern's fire engineering projects are led by Chartered Fire Engineers with many years experience in the field. Much of our new work is by referral from an established client base.

The work of our fire engineers is governed by our Fire Engineering Quality Plan and is covered by a professional indemnity of up to £5 million. This can be increased as necessary for specific projects.
