What are feeds?
Feeds enable you to receive news and information direct to your computer without the need for you to visit individual websites. This allows you to view the headlines from your favourite sites all in one place and choose which stories you want to read.
Feeds are also knows as live bookmarks, RSS feeds, Atom feeds or XML feeds and their availability is indicated by the feed icon
How do I use feeds?
Feeds can be used in many ways but the easiest is by using a web browser. The latest browsers, such as Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0 or later, automatically recognise feeds when the feed link is clicked. The feed can then be added to a toolbar (below).
Alternatively, you may need to add the feed's address into a feed reader. There are many RSS feed readers, free and commercial, for PC, Mac and mobile devices including PDA's and mobile phones. Try googling for ‘RSS feed reader' for more information.
