Timber Frame: The Ultimate Resource Pack

This pack has been newly updated to include the latest editions of Span Tables and Timber Frame Construction in combination with Services in structural framed timber buildings and the Wood Information Sheet: Introduction to timber frame construction.  Purchased together in this popular pack you will make a saving of 15% on the publications and postage and packing combined.

Span tables has long been recognized as a key resource in timber specification and building. It contains section sizes and spans for solid timber members in floors, ceilings and roofs (excluding trussed rafter roofs) for dwellings. The calculations apply to buildings up to three storeys in height above ground level. These tables were originally included in the England and Wales Building Regulations, Approved Document A: Structure

Timber frame construction, 4th edition reflects significant growth in the market for timber frame buildings, and incorporates changes in building regulations. All sections have been revised to reflect current best practice and regulatory requirements, and it now includes over 250 drawings demonstrating design solutions.

Services in structural framed timber buildings: Guidance for a defect free interface is one of a series of guides which aim to bridge the gaps in technical knowledge at the interfaces between construction packages. This publication provides advice on interface issues between mechanical and electrical services with timber structures.

The Wood Information Sheet Introduction to timber frame construction was revised in 2006.  This sheet outlines the method of construction generally used in the UK; platform frame.  Modern methods of timber frame construction were introduced into the Uk in the 1960s and are a fully accepted method of building.

Timber Frame: The ultimate resource pack is priced at £56 (plus p&p) for members and £104 (plus p&p) for non-members.  Postage for the pack is £5 to anywhere in the UK or 20% for orders outside the UK.

Another new pack entitled The green building bible pack is also now available.
