Graphic Designer

 

TRADA Technology has a requirement for a graphic design professional to join our busy Marketing and Information Services department.  Working with a team of professional writers and editors, the role requires flexibility and the ability to take on a range of design and layout activities for technical leaflets, case studies, publications, marketing materials and web pages.

To assume responsibility for:

·         Design and layout of TRADA marketing materials including brochures, advertisements, flyers, newsletters

·         Layout of Case Studies and other technical documents to a template following a defined formula

·         Design of website pages, adding new documents

·         Setting up and maintaining an electronic image library, clearing digital rights for reproduction where required

·         Briefing/managing external designers and illustrators as required

Requirements

·         Expertise in designing and laying out a variety of materials, preferably using Adobe InDesign Creative flair, able to develop concepts from a brief

·         Familiarity with standard design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and web design tools

·         Preferably some experience of working with technical drawings/information

·         Adaptable, with an understanding of business requirements and an ability to respond positively to feedback

·         Used to working with external suppliers - printers, external illustrators etc

·         Understanding of print and web production requirements

·         Deadline oriented and commercially aware

·         An eye for photography would be an advantage but not essential.
